Royal Malaysian Armed Forces Museum
This museum houses a collection of pictures, paintings and exhibits of weapons, uniforms and decorations of the countrys armed forces. Also on display are weapons seized from the communist terrorists, artillery, naval guns and old canons. Admission is free. Address: Jalan Padang Tembak

Maybank Numismatic Museum

National Art Gallery

Kuala Lumpur Textile Museum
The museum showcases the rich heritage of Malaysian arts and crafts, in particular, the local textile industry. Among the interesting exhibits are those on the art of batik making, the weaving of various indigenous materials and a diorama that portrays batik canting and pua weaving. Admission is free. Museum of Asian Arts
Located on the grounds of University of Malaya, this museum is a must itinerary for those with a penchant for Asian culture. It contains a fine collection of ceramics from all over Asia. Admission: RM1.00, children below 12 years: free

National Planetarium
Located nearby the Lake Gardens.

Asian Art Museum
Sited at the campus of the University of Malaysia.

National Museum
The National Museum is located at Jalan Damansaranear near Lake Gardens. It was built in 1963 and displays an outstanding collection of the rich cultural heritage of Malaysia.

The various galleries housed within the Museum provide interesting insights into the countrys development. They are the Historical Gallery, Metalwork and Musical Instruments Gallery, Cultural Gallery, National Sports Gallery and Natural History Gallery. There is also a library.
