MAIN BEACH LOCATION: About 30 minutes from the jetty at Mersing on a speed boat. Mersing is the main gateway point for visitors going to islands off the coast of Johor as well as to Tioman.
DESCRIPTION: The island itself looks like a giant bare boulder rock from far away, due to its lack of vegetation. Nonetheless, visitors will be amazed when looking at the beach. The island is very secluded. Only two resorts are available here, namely Le Club Rawa and Rawa Safaris Island Resort.
The water is extremely crystal-clear and definitely inviting. This is the only beach on Rawa - the islands opposite side is rocky and not accessible. Some snorkeling can be done through the beach, but the corals and marine life are the most prolific at the beachs both ends.
A clearly marked trail behind Rawa Safaris Island Resort will bring you to a breathtaking vantage point where you can see the whole island from high above.
