Beaches: Pulau Mabul - Malaysian Islands - Malaysia
MAIN JETTY LOCATION: The whole island is surrounded by sandy beaches, but do avoid the ones inhabited by locals because the water can be fairly murky from their vigorous daily activities.
As you are approaching from Semporna by boat, the first resort you will see is the floating chalets of Sipadan Water Village Resort, which beach has crystal clear waters and white sands. Walking from Sipadan Water Village Resort inland will bring you to another beach fronting the Sipadan-Mabul Resort (SMART).
DESCRIPTION: Tall palm trees, breezy sunny day and superbly clear water makes Mabul beach a perfect spot for swimming, sunbathing and lazing. Even the water under the floating chalets is crystal clear!
The beach is probably one of the best youve ever seen. Images of idyllic South Pacific islands will immediate conjure to your mind just as you step foot on Mabul beach.
You can also watch the local inhabitants of Bajau Laut (Sea Gypsy) tribe going about their daily business, such as fishing, boat repairing, home building, etc. I had the chance to capture a nice shot of local girls happily paddling in the water while giving a nice pose for my camera.
Simply a good place to blow off steam after a long day diving in the rough waters of Sipadan.
