Destination Malaysia

When to go ?

Peninsular Malaysia
Peninsular Malaysia can be visited at any time of year, it is warm and humid with year round sunshine.  Temperatures range between 22C – 32C on average, but it is cooler at the hill stations (Cameron Highlands). So bring warm clothes, when you travel through the Cameron Highlands.

The East Coast
However, if you’re planning to visit the East coast beaches, it’s best to avoid the (East Coast) monsoon/rainy season from November to January.  Boats may be cancelled because of rough seas and it can rain all day!  That said, the Prehentian Islands (East Coast) are now very popular from June to September when accommodation is booked up.  If you can visit the islands from the end of the monsoon until the beginning of May, it may be the quietest time. If you want to see turtles on the East Coast, visit between May and September.

Borneo - Sabah and Sarawak
Rain tends to occur between November to February on the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia, on western Sarawak, and north-eastern Sabah.
